Most people think motivation is what gets you moving.

Neuroscience says the exact opposite. According to a recent instagram post from People After Anesthesia, “motivation doesn’t cause effort—effort causes motivation.” The brain rewards action with dopamine. And dopamine is what creates that spark you’re waiting for.

Let that sink in:
You don’t need to feel like doing something in order to start.
You need to start, and then the feeling comes.
