I bet you find me right away haha!

When things get hard, our first instinct is almost always the same: QUIT! Take the easier route. Avoid the pain. It’s not a flaw—it’s human nature. Our brains are wired to seek safety and comfort. For thousands of years, avoiding difficulty kept us alive. But here’s the catch: what kept us alive back then is the same thing that keeps us stuck today.

I’ve battled with this voice more times than I can count. I get mad at myself when my mind and body scream for the easy way out. I’ve asked myself: What’s wrong with me? Why do I want to quit? Why can’t I embrace the hard?

But the truth is—there’s nothing wrong with me. And there’s nothing wrong with you either. That craving for comfort, that resistance to pain, is built into us. The difference comes in the decision. I’ve learned to be proud of the fact that I don’t give in. I always steer toward the hard, even when it feels like a fight every single time. Because here’s the thing: the fight itself is the training. And the act of choosing the hard path, again and again, builds a strength you can’t fake.

Let’s break down the four mindset shifts that have helped me—and countless others—turn those weak moments into our strongest wins.
